Professional Services

Who I Serve

Dedicated and committed to helping every client find their personal path to living fully and healthfully. I work with women, men, individuals, couples, LGBTQ, nuclear and blended families in addition to groups.

Free Consultation

For anyone looking for a new counselor, I believe it is important to connect initially to see if my approach and your goals align well. I offer a free 20-min consultation period where we can discuss your goals and I can share more about my process.

Goals

Together we will clarify your goals for therapy and develop a plan to meet those goals. My approach is strength-based, meaning I respect your experiences and your innate wisdom and capacity to heal. I am committed to helping every client find their personal path to living fully and authentically.

How We Work

Through the use of guided explorative reflections, mindful awareness, experiential learning, inquiry, CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), focusing techniques, and compassion practices I will work with you to bridge the past to the present. Together we will work to unwind false beliefs and soften the edges of difficult emotions and traumas.

Payment

I am a licensed Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC provider and can file with your insurance. On request, a receipt will be given to clients for services rendered to be used to file an insurance claim for an out-of-network provider. In addition I accept payment via cash, check, Venmo and Apple Pay.

Individual Psychotherapy

Each 1-hour session is dedicated to finding the personal freedom you seek. I will create a safe, nonjudgmental space for you to express and experience whatever arises. I will ask pertinent questions and use professional tools to help you navigate the obstacles, internally and externally, that limit the expression of your full potential.

Virtual or in-person sessions are available.

Couples Psychotherapy

An unbiased hour-long session where couples can find a safe environment to explore solutions together. I will use “in-the-moment” interactions to facilitate the practice of new patterns for effective, positive communication and listening that encourage collective healing.

Virtual or in-person sessions are available.

Mindful Awareness
Self Compassion Group Counseling

The act of gathering as a group in person or online is a powerful environment for healing. The safe space for sharing helps individuals express their own experience, develop communication skills, and helps to develop self awareness by listening to others with similar issues.

Mindful Awareness and Self Compassion groups combine the acts of cultivating the skills of mindfulness with the learned and innate practices of self compassion to enhance our capacity for emotional well-being.

This 4-week group therapy experience meets each week for 90 minutes and will be virtual until it is safe to gather in groups.

Meditative Group Hikes in
Asheville, NC

Silent Meditative hiking is a way to connect us to our deepest nature and to the natural world. Hiking in silence insists on our using our senses which fosters awareness and relaxation.

Each group hike will be a half-day experience with no more than 8 people in the group. Locations will be determined by weather and distance. Each member is responsible for bringing their own lunch, layers, and water for a successful time outdoors.

Silent Meditation Retreats

Whether sitting in a chair, standing, walking, or sitting crossed leg on a mat, dropping into stillness every day is the first step in cultivating a habit of mindfulness. Mindful moments and Mindfulness Meditation enhance calm, peace, and balance that enhance our well-being and overall health. It can increase our self-awareness in gaining new perspectives, help to modulate our emotional responses and even increase our creativity.

Both half-day and full-day retreats are available for groups.

Dates and Times: TBA

Mindfulness is about being fully awake in our lives. It is about perceiving the exquisite vividness of each moment. We also gain immediate access to our own powerful inner resources for insight, transformation, and healing.
